A lgood read

I just read a nice article ..:

enjoy ;)

Morning ramblings...

Well, I've just had a most wonderful morning that has left me enthusiastic and raring to have a go at the day.. : ) This could be partly because i got up at 5 AM today... All credit for this goes of course to Abhishek Mandi -- he was actually awake the whole night - so that he could wake me up ...... Thanks Mandi ; )
OK... for anyone interested in getting up at 5 AM.. here are some key points I would put forth:(Mostly not my points... but by a stroke of chance there might be an original one or two ; ))
1. Have a purpose - Decide in advance what you would like to do when you get up.

2. Do something you really love to do immediately after getting up.

3. At any cost, don't convince yourself that you'll get up after some time - you won't - I mean this moment is just the same as the moment when your alarm will ring again, isn't it??

4. Do not stay awake long (obvious but can make a big difference)

5. Commit to a 30 day trial... All day make sure, you tell yourself or remind yourself 2-4 times: "I get up at 5 AM"

6. Write an article about why no force on earth can simply have no chance of making you sleep past 5 AM.

7. Read an article about getting up early everyday for 30 days.

8. Immediately after getting up - remember that whatever you think will attract like thoughts - so think only about jumping, getting up , doing what you love etc... Make sure the thought of sleeping back does not once enter your mind, because if it does, it will attract similar thoughts and you will most likely drift back.

9. Reward yourself if you get up early. For example, this could mean watch an episode of Friends or buying tickets for __ next month...

10. As soon as you get up try saying this to yourself - TELUGU - "Oka saari commit ayipote naa mata nene vinanu" - English - (Once I have made a commitment, even I cannot stop myself from keeping it)

Have a great day ; )

Do this when life seems a little dull : )

1. Think and convince yourself that you will die tomorrow
2. Dance to the song mauja hi mauja!
( The link is http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b-j3ouahihE)
3. Think about this: Only now exists!
4. Positive thought and action fill the world, nothing else.
5. Think this: Everyday in every way the cause of my misery enjoys more peace, happiness, creativity and abundance in his/her life! Actually only I am the cause of my misery so it all comes back to me…: )

Tomorrow never dies....:)

Irrespective of anything in the world, there is always a tomorrow.

This is such a powerful fact that it can help you face anything in life. There is always a tomorrow that is bright and shiny and irresistibly wonderful.

If the present sucks, if reality sucks, then remember that right here and right now and in every moment from now on you have the choice to make reality rock.

Remember that belief in oneself is a wonderful thing.

You may be wrong, in most cases you are wrong. You have to be wrong or life would be clear and complete every moment.
But think ye hard and clarify from the depth of your soul and once you have done that be true to yourself. Even if the whole world is against you, criticizing you, blaming you, be true to yourself.

If you can keep your head when all about you are losing theirs,
And blaming it on you
If you can trust yourself when all men doubt you
And make allowance for their doubting too
If you wait and not be tired by waiting,
Or being hated don’t give way to hating…..

Whatever ..I don’t remember the exact lines but If by Rudyard Kipling is a wonderful poem.

But I’ve found it on the net so here it is:

[IF]
If you can keep your head when all about you
Are losing theirs and blaming it on you,
If you can trust yourself when all men doubt you
But make allowance for their doubting too,
If you can wait and not be tired by waiting,
Or being lied about, don't deal in lies,
Or being hated, don't give way to hating,
And yet don't look too good, nor talk too wise:

If you can dream--and not make dreams your master,
If you can think--and not make thoughts your aim;
If you can meet with Triumph and Disaster
And treat those two impostors just the same;
If you can bear to hear the truth you've spoken
Twisted by knaves to make a trap for fools,
Or watch the things you gave your life to, broken,
And stoop and build 'em up with worn-out tools:
If you can make one heap of all your winnings
And risk it all on one turn of pitch-and-toss,
And lose, and start again at your beginnings
And never breath a word about your loss;
If you can force your heart and nerve and sinew
To serve your turn long after they are gone,
And so hold on when there is nothing in you
Except the Will which says to them: "Hold on!"

If you can talk with crowds and keep your virtue,
Or walk with kings--nor lose the common touch,
If neither foes nor loving friends can hurt you;
If all men count with you, but none too much,
If you can fill the unforgiving minute
With sixty seconds' worth of distance run,
Yours is the Earth and everything that's in it,
And--which is more--you'll be a Man, my son!

--Rudyard Kipling

Tomorrow there will definitely be a new dawn!

Fears YET again!!!

When you are up and running, when you’re rocking, when you feel the world is at your feet – it’s very easy to face your fears.

But when you are blue, not rocking, not happy even – that’s when the truth of the statement – “Only right now exists” comes into picture.

Because irrespective of your emotional state – only now exists. And if only now exists nothing can be deferred to the future simply because of a bad emotional state, right?

Maybe that’s what self discipline, courage and belief are – taking action irrespective of your state of mind.

I mean isn’t it cool to be facing your fears despite shaking and almost freaking out.

Yo ho ho…Life rocks J

Intention????

I think one special point in connecting to intention is taking risks. One might have to take terrific risks – risks that might pay off either way. But if we trust in the Universe sensing that it is the Universe itself that is sending us opportunities to fulfill our intention, maybe things can work out wonderfully.

The ways of the Universe are unique in beautiful ways beyond our cognition.

Anything is possible if we just BELIEVE and have faith in ourselves, our dream and the Universe!

Just vented out a thought…. J

What exactly is the "NOW".....

Only the present exists. We are always drifting in the present. The past and the future are illusions, complete illusions.
My cousin Teja says, “The present is an ungraspable moment of….” Yeah, but why? We are always in the now. Which moment existed when we were not in the now? When I eat dinner, I am. I just am and I am eating dinner.
We cannot live in the future and the past. Try it. Can you live in yesterday? The table in front of you, these trees, this laptop, they exist now. We can control only one thing – the present.

Then what did, “the present is….” mean?

There is something called thought. This thought or ego or whatever is not I. Is not you. It does not dwell in the now.

We keep thinking of the past and the future. Observe your thoughts for one day and you will see that most of it is spent in thinking about the past and the future. Comparison of the present with the past and the future destroys its beauty. We are always lost in thinking. And the more we think, the more we delve into the past and the future. And the more we delve, the more the present becomes an ungraspable…..whatever.
I say, we have it right here and right now – the power to enjoy the present.

Look at the laptop keys, look at the bottle. Freedom from over thinking can fill our life with happiness because it is right here right now!

We cannot control the past. It is over. Over means over. He insulted me. Gosh! Yes, that’s true. She rejected me. Wow! Am I denying it? The point is this: Only now exists and in the now there is no pain – never.

We may think of future events as being dangerous or fear-inducing or preposterous and in most cases that is what will come to pass. I f we keep thinking about something for a long time, it happens – I swear by it. But if we concentrate on the now, even a terribly difficult and fear inducing moment will seem wholesome. Because fear can exist in the past or the future – in the now, only beauty exists.

When we keep thinking about the past and the future – our past becomes our future.
Where is the newness of life then?
Every moment is new. Today I will have hundreds of moments I have never experienced before. And that’s wonderful. And I’ll miss them all if I am lost in thinking about what will happen and what was.

No – now does not mean no goals – no plans – no learning from the past. It means letting go of the past and creating the future. Visualizing something wonderful in the now, as if it is happening now can actually create a future.

Now you may say I am contradicting myself and maybe I am or maybe I am not explaining well enough but I have no explanations. Sort of not clear myself I guess…J

I think I’ve written a lot. Maybe it makes sense. Maybe it is above sense (or below it J). But right here right now, life rocks and so does Meghu!

The Little Prince

These are quotes from a book I read a while ago....Its a wonderful book. Its called "The Little prince"...

1. When a mystery is too overpowering, one dare not disobey.
2. ... It is only with the heart that one can see rightly; what is essential is invisible to the eye.
3. "It's the time you spent on your rose that makes your rose so important."
4. Conditioning makes men think in a certain way only. It imposes the concept of familiarity and the fear of trying out what has never been done.

5. It makes us complicate things. All things are simple.

6. "Straight ahead of him, nobody can go very far . . ."

I, alas, do not know how to see sheep through the walls of boxes. Or maybe I do.
Kill the bad baobabs as soon you see them.

In your small being, you can have any thoughts about anything at any time. You can see the sunset whenever you want to.

10. It is such a secret place, the land of tears.

11. He had taken seriously words which were without importance, and it made him very unhappy.

12. The little prince never forgot a question once he had asked it.
13. If you succeed in judging yourself rightly, then you are indeed a man of true wisdom
14. Conceited people never hear anything but praise.

15. It is a little lonely in the desert . . It is also lonely among men.
16. Words are the source of misunderstandings.
17. You become responsible, forever, for what you have tamed. You are responsible for your rose . .
18. No one is ever satisfied where he is.
19. "Only the children know what they are looking for," said the little prince. "They waste their time over a rag doll and it becomes very important to them; and if anybody takes it away from them, they cry . . ."
20. The stars are beautiful, because of a flower that cannot be seen.
21. "What makes the desert beautiful," said the little prince, "is that somewhere it hides a well . . ."
22. "Men," said the little prince, "set out on their way in express trains, but they do not know what they are looking for. Then they rush about, and get excited, and turn round and round . . ." "It is not worth the trouble . . ."
23. "But the eyes are blind. One must look with the heart . . ."
24. But when one flushes does that not mean "Yes"?
25. One runs the risk of weeping a little, if one lets himself be tamed . . .

A rocking observation!

Neither are we great nor are we inferior because of what we have done. This is the unfailing truth!

A Quote

"I learned this, at least, by my experiment: that if one advances confidently in the direction of his dreams, and endeavors to live the life which he had imagined, he will meet with a success unexpected in common hours." --Henry David Thoreau - Walden, or Life in the Woods

DAY 1

Hi Mr Blog! Do you have a name as yet? Doesn't matter.

I'm thinking of starting a 30 day trial to do these 3-4 things:
1. Get up at 5 am.
2. Run (how much = depends, its actually jog not run)
3. Take a bath(shower in fact) some time after the run.
4. Work on my website for 2 hrs.

The task may seem daunting, but today was DAY 1.

I got up at 6 AM - then slept back until Joey woke me up at 6:40.

Jogged with him, watched as he exercised and seems like I am cooling down now typing up all this.

Wow! A really good start to the day. The mind is slightly free, I guess in the morning. It felt great not to immediately rush to class after getting up. Maybe waking early gives you a lot of free, freshening up time......

cool : )

Right here, right now....

Well, there rally is no reason to write (oops.. type) this entry but for the one: I haven't posted anything for more than a month.

Life's wonderful right now.......

When we are in the present completely, maybe the future automatically gets created as the past is let gone of!

But pure presence is awareness - complete awareness, not thought.

Is it different from following one thought, then another, then another without worrying about the future or the past? I guess it is...

Golu is calling me for lunch. So that's about it [:)]
